I live in Central CT with my husband and our 4 year old bulldog. I help underprivileged children and their families get dental care by day, and bartend by night.

I like cooking, wine and reading. I'm always on the look out for new recipes and books to read. Husband and I are having a baby in January! If you want to know anything else, just ask.
‎I do not believe that just because you’re opposed to abortion, that that makes you pro-life. In fact, I think in many cases, your morality is deeply lacking if all you want is a child born but not a child fed, not a child educated, not a child housed. And why would I think that you don’t? Because you don’t want any tax money to go there. That’s not pro-life. That’s pro-birth. We need a much broader conversation on what the morality of pro-life is.

I never understood this paradox. Thank you CATHOLIC NUNS for stating it so eloquently.

WORD.  This is exactly my issue with the Republicans opposed to abortion.  If you are going to oppose abortion, you can’t also oppose funding for access to birth control, female reproductive care, child medical programs, education, food, shelter, etc.  Yes, it would be nice if every single child that was conceived was wanted and celebrated, planned and prepared for, with a stable support system in place, but the harsh reality is that ain’t always the case.
